We are happy to announce OSS v4.2 build 2000 for Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, SCO UnixWare and SCO OSR6.
What's new?
- Improved ossplay and ossrecord. Ogg/Vorbis support added to ossplay.
- Improvements to ossxmix.
- Added support for some new HDaudio controllers.
- Added support for HDaudio modem codecs on some motherboards/laptops.
- Added support for RME MADI pro audio sound cards.
- Changed ossmix/ossxmix to be compatible with Boomer (file permissions of /dev/mixer*).
- Fixes to the configure and build process of OSS.
