Terratec 6fire -- sound at last!
Posted: Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:10 pmMany thanks. Ages ago I realised pulseaudio wasn't working for me but try as I might with Alsa - I could not get my sound card to work for more than an hour or two. I never figured out why it would work perfectly sometimes and not others. Now OSS 4 has done -- quick and simple. Great mixer as well.
One thing though, totally dumb question. In which directory does the license go? The email said /tmp but OSS is not installed there.
[EDIT: Sorry, knew it was dumb; I just ran osslic and it installed the license wherever.]
