Solaris 10 x86 adobe flash 10 with no audio

Hi,

I have just installed Solaris 10 with OSS 4.1 and everything looks good, but... when I run flash animations eg. youtube there is no sound.

I read from Adobe web page that Only Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) is supported (OSS/ESD will not play audio; audio will silently fail). Only GTK2-based browser versions are supported. (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/)

Is there any way to get sounds woking with flash?

The information you read is referring to Linux only, and even there it isn't correct (Flash/Linux can use an external library (libflashsupport.so) as a wrapper for its sound routines, so it can output via OSS).

IIRC, Native Solaris version of Flash uses SADA (Solaris's native sound API until OpenSolaris changed it), which should be covered by oss_sadasupport... Do any other SADA programs work for you?

I'm not sure which software are SADA programs, but I can use realplayer just fine.

Weird is that now the audio works with everything. I just rebooted the machine.
