OSS, Solaris 10, Java desktop, CD player, sound for one sec

Environment:
X86 Solaris 10 Jave desktop
Device:
CD player
Symptom
After activating OSS (soundon), playing an audio CD with the default
CD player on the desktop produces exactly one second of music.
Same symptom after stopping the play and restarting it or
when changing tracks.
I checked Internet if the problem is not a CD player only issue, but I couldn't find anything specific.
Any hint?
