Kernel Panic "Unnable to allocate DMA-Buffer"

Is there a chance to fix this problem? It has something todo with the nvidia-driver. As a workarround I removed the nvidia_load from the loader.conf and placed inside rc.local a line _after_ the "soundon" to load the nvidia-modul after OSS.

OK this is a known problem - the Delta card requires a lot of memory for each of the channels.


You can read /usr/lib/oss/docs/README.Envy24 to reduce the number of channels (and therefore the memory).
